We’re a team of 30 Jammers with big ambitions: we care about craft, iterate fast, and build systems meant to scale, not just technically, but also creatively.

To support our next milestones, we’re looking for an SRE / DevOps Engineer to help us build strong production foundations: reliability, deployment quality, observability, and infrastructure automation 🚀

Why this role matters?

At Opus Major, infrastructure is not “support”, it’s a key part of the product’s success. As a SRE / DevOps, you'll help us to:

• keep systems stable and scalable as the game grows

• make deployments safe and repeatable

• raise the bar on production readiness

Your future responsibilities and scope 🎮

Kubernetes & Production Infrastructure

• Operate and improve our Kubernetes clusters (GKE) in production

• Define best practices around exposure, networking, scaling, and rollouts

• Improve reliability through strong operational standards

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform

• Automate workflows to reduce manual work and improve consistency

• Help define clean deployment pipelines and environment management

Monitoring, Alerting & Observability

• Own and evolve our observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana)

• Design alerts that are meaningful and actionable

• Help us move toward SLO-driven reliability and better incident response

Collaboration and Enablement

• Work closely with developers to make systems production-ready

• Communicate clearly about trade-offs, risks, and priorities

• Contribute to a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement

The profile we are looking for at Opus 👾

Required skills (must have)

• Strong experience operating Kubernetes in production (debugging, networking basics, rollouts, exposure patterns such as Ingress/Load Balancers)

• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (especially GKE, IAM, networking fundamentals)

• Solid background in Terraform / Infrastructure as Code

• Observability: Prometheus + Grafana

Experience

• 3+ years in SRE / DevOps roles

• ArgoCD / GitOps workflows

• Kustomize

• Golang

• Experience in gaming / multiplayer services

• Bonus: you’re excited about games and interactive music experiences.

• We are an office-first company and value regular in-person collaboration especially in our early-stage environment and for our studio where collaboration, fast iteration, and shared context matter a lot.
